Bartosz Cajler
European concert violinist and distinguished pedagogue, internationally recognised for his refined artistry, stylistic depth, and long-standing commitment to musical excellence.
He is currently a Lecturer at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm and at the School of Music and Opera at Mälardalen University, where he is highly regarded for his work with advanced students and young professionals.
He received his formal education at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw and completed postgraduate soloist studies at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm.
His artistic development was further shaped through repeated participation in the Summer Sessions at Indiana University (USA), as well as through close artistic contact with legendary musicians and teachers including Joshua Bell, Zakhar Bron, Igor Ozim, and Menahem Pressler.
Bartosz Cajler is a prizewinner of important international violin competitions, including the Andrea Postacchini International Violin Competition and the Tadeusz Wroński Violin Competition, achievements that marked the early recognition of his artistic profile on the European stage.
As a soloist, he has appeared with orchestras across Europe, performing in Poland, Sweden, Italy, and Russia.
His critically acclaimed recording of Aleksander Tansman’s Violin Concerto for the Polish label DUX received international recognition and established him as a leading interpreter of rare and demanding repertoire.
From 2007 to 2018, he served as primarius of the Dahlkvist Quartet. The ensemble was selected for the Rising Stars programme of Stockholms Konserthus and performed at major European venues including the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Köln Philharmonie, and the Konzerthaus in Vienna. Their recording of works by Andrea Tarrodi was awarded the Swedish Grammis for Classical Recording of the Year.
Bartosz Cajler performs on a 1768 violin by Joseph and Antonio Gagliano, generously on loan from the Järnåker Foundation in Stockholm.
