Maria Peradzyńska
Winner of many awards at national and international competitions, she is a graduate of the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw in the flute class of prof. Grzegorz Cimoszko and prof. Elżbieta Dastych-Szwarc.
In 2000, she was a finalist of the Tunbridge Wells International Young Artist Concert Competition in Great Britain. In 1994 and 1995, she received a scholarship from Boston University, which enabled her to study under the guidance of an outstanding teacher and principal flutist of the Boston Symphony Orchestra – professor Doriot Anthony Dwyer.
She twice received a scholarship from the American organization Apple Hill Chamber Players, thanks to which she improved her skills in the field of chamber music under the supervision of outstanding musicians and professors in the United States. As part of master classes, she trained under the supervision of outstanding flutists such as: sir James Galway, Jean Pierre Rampal, Julius Baker, Marina Piccinni, Bernard Goldberg, Janos Balint.
She has recorded albums with solo, chamber and orchestral music for the record companies Dux, Polskie Nagrania, Acte Prealable and Chopin University Press. The albums Chopin Symphony Jazz Project and Stanisław Moryto Solo Chamber Works, in which she participated, were nominated for the prestigious Fryderyk award in 2011 and 2022.
In March 2021, she released her solo album with works by the forgotten flute virtuoso from the early 19th century, Johann Wilhelm Gabrielski, which is the world premiere of the composer’s works.
Maria Peradzyńska gave concerts in Poland and abroad, including United States, Germany, France, Switzerland, Austria, Czech Republic and Ukraine. She has performed as a soloist and chamber musician during prestigious festivals such as: 13th International Festival of Jerzy Waldorff in Radziejowice, Musical Festival of Blooming Azaleas at the Castle in Moszna, 5th International Festival Great Creators in Lviv, at the Grand Theater – National Opera, and the Witold Lutosławski Philharmonic in Łomża.
Maria Peradzyńska cooperates with outstanding artists, including: Klaudiusz Baran, Janusz Olejniczak, Tomasz Strahl, Robert Morawski and Łukasz Chrzęszczyk. Since 2005, she has been the principal flutist of the Masovian Musical Theater of Jan Kiepura in Warsaw. She collaborated with the Toruń Symphony Orchestra and the Polish Radio Orchestra in Warsaw. In 2015, with a piano trio, she won the first prize at the International Master Competition for Music Teachers in Warsaw.
Currently, Maria Peradzyńska teaches flute at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music and at Zespół Państwowych Szkół Muzycznych im. Karola Szymanowskiego in Warsaw. Her students have won over two hundred prestigious awards at national and international competitions, including Adams Flute Competition, Theobald Boehm International Flute Competition, Prague Spring, Gazzelloni Flute Competition, Guangzhou Flute Competition, International Flute Competition of Eugeniusz Towarnicki in Warsaw.
Maria Peradzyńska’s graduates work in famous European orchestras such as Augsburger Philharmoniker and Dresdner Philharmonie. For her work and contribution to the development of Polish culture she twice received the award of the Director of the Center for Artistic Education, and in 2015 the award of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage. In 2017, she was awarded the Bronze Medal for Merit to Culture Gloria Artis and in 2022 the Award of the Rector of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw for her outstanding artistic and teaching achievements.
