Marianna Waszkiewicz

The artist was born in Lviv, where her musical education began at the Salomea Kruszelnicka State School of Music.

In 1991, upon receiving a Polish Government scholarship, she enrolled at the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw to study piano under professors Kazimierz Gierżod and Maria Stojek, while simultaneously pursuing chamber music in the class of professor Barbara Halska.

Her professional development continued in Zurich. Between 1994 and 1995 she studied under professor Rudolf Buchbinder as a scholarship recipient of the International Music Course.

Since 1996, Marianna Waszkiewicz is a member of the Brahms Trio. She has performed extensively with the ensemble, receiving awards at numerous event, such as the International Chamber Music Competition in Kłodzko, Bronisław Huberman Festival of Austrian Music, and 5th Krzysztof Penderecki International Contemporary Chamber Music Competition in Kraków.

In 2002, the artist joined the faculty of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. Her current activities include participating in international music courses in Zamość, Nowy Sącz, Szczecinek, and Warsaw. These engagements involve collaboration with a distinguished circle of Polish and international musicians, including Elżbieta Gajewska, Philippe Bernold, Janos Balint, and Andrea Lieberknecht.

Her extensive work as a collaborative pianist at festivals and competitions has been recognized with numerous awards and distinctions.
