Mariusz Patyra
MARIUSZ PATYRA has begun to play the violin at the age of 7. His teachers included: Z. Ciucias and A. Hoffman in Olsztyn, A. Cypryk and Prof. J. Kucharski in Warsaw, Prof. K. Węgrzyn in Hannover, and Maestro Salvatore Accardo in Cremona.
In 2018, the he graduated with honours from The Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz, and currently teaches at his alma mater.
Mariusz Patyra is the only Pole to win the Premio Niccolo Paganini (Genua, 2001) and be awarded the special prize for the best interpretation of Paganini’s Caprices. He also received a copy of the great master’s violin, Il Cannone.
The artist is a laureate of the 1997 International Joseph Joachim Violin Competition in Hanover and finalist of the 1988 Stradivarius International Violin Competition in Cremona. In 2000, he received the 4th prize at the Carl Nielsen International Competition in Odense. The artist also winner of the Japanese Music Foundation JESC scholarship competition and laureate of Premio Pressenda (Alba, Italy).
His achievements launched performance tours all over the world, including Europe, Japan, the USA, and Mexico. Mariusz Patyra has played with such distinguished orchestras as: the Tokyo Royal Chamber Orchestra, Orchestra Fondazione Arturo Toscanini, Orchestra di Roma, Orchestra Filarmonica Marchigiana, Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra, Polish Radio Chamber Orchestra Amadeus, Warsaw National Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, and Sinfonia Varsovia. Mariusz Patyra recorded for Polish, Northern German (NDR), Western German (WDR), and Italian (RAI TRE) radios.
