Grzegorz Mańkowski

Guitarist, conductor, arranger, and music educator. He graduated with distinction from the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, where he studied guitar under Prof. Marcin Zalewski and orchestral conducting under Prof. Szymon Kawalla.

He was awarded scholarships by the Polish Minister of Culture (2004) and the Mayor of Wrocław (2004). He is also the recipient of numerous top prizes at prestigious national and international guitar competitions, including those held in Rewal (2002, 2004), Kielce (2004), Szczecin (2008), and Krynica (2009).

For many years, Grzegorz Mańkowski has maintained an active concert career, including performances in a duo with the distinguished Polish violinist Maria Machowska. As both a guitarist and conductor, he has collaborated with the National Philharmonic in Warsaw, the Sudeten Philharmonic, and numerous artistic agencies, performing extensively in Poland and abroad, including Germany, Italy, and Saudi Arabia.

Since 2005, he has also been actively engaged in music education. He currently teaches guitar at the ZPSM Nr 1 as well as two other public music schools in Warsaw. His students have won numerous awards at national and international guitar competitions.

Grzegorz Mańkowski is also the author of many arrangements for solo guitar, guitar ensembles, and symphony orchestra.
